2025 Canary Islands

Day 1 - Saturday November 29, 2025
             We will arrive and meet in Tenerife Spain airport and transfer to nearby hotel.  The Welcome Dinner will be this evening to meet and greet everyone.

Day 2 - Sunday November 30, 2025
          Today we board a bus to travel around Tenerife to view Punta del Hildalgo Lighthouse. We will stop for lunch during our travels.  We will view the Harbor Light in Santa Cruz.  We will board the yacht Wind Star at 3 PM.  The Windstar Cruise Line ship, the Wind Star, is a sleek 4 masted sailing yacht accommodating 148 guests with a crew of 101.  All state rooms will have ocean views.  The boat offers 2 primary dining venues, a new pool, spa and hot tub.  The ship will sail overnight to La Gomera.

Day 3 - Monday December 1, 2025
          The boat arrives at 9 AM in La Gomera and there will be a bus waiting for us to travel around the area to see San Cristobal Lighthouse.  Then we will enter Garajonay National Park.  Next is lunch at a local restaurant.  There will be a demonstration of Silbo, the language of whistles used to communicate from mountain to mountain.  Back on the ship for a 6 PM sailing time to La Palma. 

Day 4 - Tuesday December 2, 2025
           The boat arrives in La Palma  where a packed lunch will be delivered to us for lunch.  We will have a coach and mini buses where needed to drive us to Faro Punta Cumplida Lighthouse (if available as this is a working hotel).  Then we will travel to Arenas Blancas Lighthouse.  Lunch is next followed by a visit and entrance into Fuencalienta Lighthouse and Visitors Center.  Back on the boat for a 6 PM sailing time.

Day 5 - Wednesday December 3, 2025
           This day you will have a full day of sailing at sea enroute to Funchal, Portugal.  You will have time to enjoy the many amenities of this sailing ship.

Day 6 - Thursday December 4, 2025
                A coach will be waiting for us when we arrive at 1 PM.  We will have a city tour and then a Zodiac boat cruise to view Sao Lourenco Lighthouse.  The ship will stay in port this night.

Day 7 - Friday December 5, 2025
              Our coach will take us to Camera de Lobos Lighthouse, Riveira Brava Lighthouse and Ponta do Pargo Lighthouse with museum in the morning.  We get lunch at a local restaurant and then go to Ponta de Sao Jorge Lighthouse.  Back to the ship for a 5 PM sailing time.

Day 8 - Saturday December 6, 2025
             Today is another day at sea on this beautiful sailing ship.  Again, you will be able to enjoy the amenities and activities available on this day. 

Day 9 - Sunday December 7, 2025
              The ship will dock in Lanzarote at 8 AM.  You can enjoy free time here until we get on the coach that will take us to Pechiguera Lighthouses (old and New).  Back on the ship for a 10 PM sailing time to Las Palmas De Gran.

Day 10 - Monday December 8, 2025
              We arrive in Las Palmas at 1 PM and board a coach for half day tour.  We will be able to view Dique de Leon y Castillo across the harbor.  We will also view Punta Sardina Lighthouse.  The ship will stay in port this night.

Day 11 - Tuesday December 9, 2025
                A full day on the coach to see Punta de Melenara Lighthouse and Faro de Arinaga Lighthouse in the morning.  We will have a fabulous lunch at Faro de Arinaga restaurant which is attached to the lighthouse.  In the afternoon we will enter Maspalomas Lighthouse and museum, where we will be able to climb the tower to the viewing platform.  Then we will view the marina with Punta del Castillete below.  Back on the ship for a 6 PM sailing time to go to Tenerife.

Day 12 - Wednesday December 10, 2025
                We will dock at 7 AM and disembark the ship. The coach will take us for a full day excursion around the area.  We will see Puerta de la Cruz Lighthouse. We will then have lunch and then taxi in groups of 3 to Faro de la Laja Lighthouse (Buena Vista).  The next ligthouse will be Punta de Teno and then we will transfer to the hotel.  You will have time to explore the area and have dinner on your own.  

Day 13 - Thursday December 11, 2025
                 We will dock at 7 AM and disembark the ship. The coach will take us for a full day excursion around the area.  We will have to take private taxis (3 people per taxi) to Punta Abona Lighthouse located on a dirt road.  After that we will have lunch at a local restaurant.  Then we get on a charter boat to view Punta de Rasca Lighthouse.  Check into our hotel and then our Farewell Dinner will be at the hotel this evening.     

Day 14 - Friday December 12, 2025
                Flights home today.
